Yes, maybe. But there are two facts that make me speculate in this way. First, the size of the order fits nearly perfect. Volotea currently has a fleet of 28 Aircraft. 19 are in the capacity-range of the CS100 and 9 of the CS300. So they could replace the whole fleet with options for future growth. Second, Volotea intended to replace it's B717 fleet with used A319's, but seems to have stopped with that after introduction of the first nine units. So I guess they might have learned that new CS's are a more sustainable choice in the long run, as the used A319's they have are already as old as the B717's (13,6 years vs. 14,5 years) and the possible successor A319neo doesn't seem to be the Aircraft of choice for the lower cost airlines. Also, the CS100 is a direct replacement for the B717, while the A319 is some kind of capacity-upgrade.

LH Group is not on my list of possibilities, as it is said that the order comes from a new european customer.
In my opinion, it could also be an order from EasyJet, SAS or Air France, but for me Volotea seems to be the best fit for this size of order.

Easyjet would be a curveball if it was them, I follow an airline concept page in instagram and they made an easyjet CS300, I'll try and post it soon.

Re: News of civil aviation world.

That lookes nice!

31+30pcs would be a small quantity for easyjet, but anyway they have to replace the A319's in the coming years and the CS300 would be perfect. Maybe a first order with more to follow. It would be a second Aircaft-family in the fleet, but I don't think they would bother too much as they are big enough for that.

Re: News of civil aviation world.

TACV Cabo Verde airlines is being aided by parent company Icelandair.
Since their sole 757 D4-CBP is grounded due to technical problems, Icelandair gave 2 757 to TACV: TF-FII and TF-FIW.

TF-FII is operating for TACV with full Icelandair colors and winglets.
TF-FIW is all white with "Cabo Verde Airlines" titles at the front and a blue rudder, with a little red stripe just like the one of the Cabo Verde flag. The tail is not fully painted, just the rudder.

I expect to see both here in Fortaleza

So... Meridiana and Air Italy merged, Meridiana survived, but now the dead Air Italy name is coming back? Simply weird.

Qatar Airways is the new Etihad but with more prudence to avoid Etihad disaster in Europe..., in fact Qatar Airways and Al Baker now have 49% of Meridiana, 10% of British Airways, shares of Cathay Pacific and it is trying to purchase more shares in America Airlines.
About Meridiana, Al Baker wants a national airline so the name Meridiana is not so appropriate, even because it represents the "regional" (Sardinia) airline next to bankruptcy: Air Italy is more appropriate (Air Italy is part of Meridiana, the airline bought but Meridiana some years ago) and, according to the latest news, there will be two main hubs:
- Milan MXP
- Rome FCO.
Sardinia will be important for regional flights and Alisarda will have the control of them.
The fleet should be really renewed with B787 and B737 Max.

Skywork restarted the flights and the winter schedules are regular.
Good news for this regional airline based at Berna-Belp airport (Switzerland).

Re: News of civil aviation world.

I like the tail, seems to be some kind of metallic blue... but the titles with two tones of blue are bothering me

Anyway... why change again?! That "Welcome" livery was not bad and also wasn't old.

This A330 with this "messy" livery was spotted at Rio during a maintenance visit.
