image The Lufthansa Ju-52 with the famous registration D-AQUI is a confirmed classic. Strictly speaking, it doesn’t belong to Lufthansa anymore but to DLBS “Deutsche Lufthansa Berlin Stiftung” (German Lufthansa Berlin Foundation), and it now carries the registration D-CDLH. Models of this legend have already been released in the 1/160 scale (item no. 019040) and the 1/500 scale (item no. 516709). Now the 1/400 version is ready for its appearance.

image Today, solemnly focusing on Airbus Industries’ products, the holiday carrier serves the largest holiday market in Europe from its base airport Düsseldorf. There the seven A330- 200s are mainly operated on intercontinental routes to USA, Central America and East Asia. The D-ALPD was commissioned in February 2002.

image In the early 1980’s, the Lufthansa subsidiary Condor launched its “all metal look”. Because of its great popularity, Lufthansa also considered taking on the concept and stripped its Boeing 737-200, registration D-ABHX, to the skin. However, it did not meet with great acceptance, making this model with the polished fuselage a real rarity.

image Herpa States: The Boeing 737-484 SX-BKC and the name “Phillipi” is still flying with the special livery, which it received for the Olympic Summer Games 2004 in Athens. In 1957, the airline was founded as Olympic Airways from the, at that time, world’s wealthiest man, Aristotle Onassis.

image Etihad was founded in Abu Dhabi and is barely three years old, however they have already ordered four A380s. From 2008 on, the world’s largest passenger airplanes are scheduled to be delivered to the airline in the United Arab Emirates. Since the delivery of the originals is still far in the future, the model will be released without registration.

image Finally the first new livery Thai Airways International model comes out. This model registered HS-TNA was the first new delievered A340-642 for Thai flying to destinations throughout the world, including but not limited to New York City. This model is now released in 1:500 scale with the soon to be followed Boeing 747-400.

image Like all airlines in Iran, the private Mahan Air, is suffering under the US embargo, but nevertheless is currently registering growth. The original of the leased A310-300ET with the registration F-OJHH is used on flights as far afield as China, amongst other destinations.

image Herpa States: "In 1995 in Innsbruck founded Welcome Air, was at first known as a business travel operator and air ambulance, because its “cast bombers” flew injured skiers home. Today, as a regional carrier, it took over the operations of the former Tyrolean Air. It operates two turboprops of the type DO328-100 and one DO328-200Jet. The latter, with the registration OE-LJR “Aurora” is now released in the 1/200 scale. "

image The Boeing 737-300 is one of the world's most popular airplanes. More than a hundred airlines operate the short and medium haul airliner with its efficient and reliable CFM-56 engines. This model with the registration N232DZ was built in 1988 for Germania, and has been used by Delta Air Lines since 1998 ? just like twenty-six similar -300 planes, most of which were formerly operated by Western Airlines, which was taken over by Delta in 1987.
