Quite a nice ride between TFN and LPA I must admit.

Well, aside from my usual business trips which usually read:
VIE-BRU-VIE (either OS F100/A319/A320 or SN A320/A319 - with a faint chance of an SN RJ100)
Following trip is booked foy May:
VIE-FRA (OS A319)
FRA-PEK (LH A388)
PEK-MUC (LH A346)
MUC-VIE (LH A319)
And starting in PEK, another batch of flights, which I can only reveal ex post.

BRU/EBBR is a nice place for spotting, even without a car. Go to the upper deck of car parking buildings
- P1: western end of 07L/25R, mostly departures from 25R, sometimes landings on 07L
- P3: western end of 07R/25L, mostly landings on 25L, sometimes departures from 07R, and also 01/19 (sometimes also landings on 01) - and taxiing planes.
Also there are many bus lines that take you to "BRUcargo" (for free, as you remain within the airport!), from there you can take a little stroll to take pics from cargo planes - and also from-below pics of departing planes from 25R.

Thanks for the tip but I will only be there for the day, early flight from LHR and straight to meetings in Haren and then evening flight back.

Are the De Lijn services insite the airport free?
Also you win't have great spotting places from Machelen Cargo

AFAIK the DeLijn busses are free between stations inside the airport. Also, I'm not familiar with the names of the stations, but if you get off the bus at Machelen Cargo and go to the west for 5 minutes, you can go around the corner of the whole cargo facility and onto a small hill. I mean the spot I shot this one from:
