How about Budapest? Spotter friendly airport, nice meals, nice girls... (end of publicity)

Only seven weeks remaining till the show (October 16th) in DUS, so I thought maybe it's time to see who's going. I'm going to be there!

Re: The making of: Wings900 Spotter/Collector meeting (Europe)

I would suggest ANY airport that is an Airline HUB! Its easyer to get cheaper airfares to. For DUS I never find cheap tickets (lower than 250 euros) where as FRA or MUC for example is moslty cheap! Lufthansa gets those 99euro europe deals very often due to their direct connection, plus FRA also has that aviation collectables "event" next to the airport. A fellow member once told us about it

Other than that, YES DUS is the best place to meet due to the Boerse event.

you could get the flights for about 180€, but I think you could hardly make it in a day, you'd need at least one or better two nights in a Hotel in DUS. And what shall I say ? I checked the LH fares and could get a same day return HAM-DUS-HAM for 190€
I booked a oneway and come back by train, still 95€ in total. Two years ago I came with Michael and we paid 60 for the return flight with Air Berlin.

I'm still figuring out if we are able to attend the DUS Wings Boerse. Hopefully I'll hit that weekend where it's gonna happen with a weekend dayoffs with my work. If all goes well, I'll take two nights in DUS, Thank you. Didn't have the opportunity last time as I had work the next day.

Re: The making of: Wings900 Spotter/Collector meeting (Europe)

DUS could be the right place, London, AMS, ZRH are also beautiful airports. Maybe I will not be in DUS in October this year...

Didn't know that Simmon Airlines offers flights to this place

Common guys, DUS is so boring for planespotting. Sure they have a nice terrasse but 80% are AB & LH birds. What about AMS?? This is one of the spotter friendliest airports on this planet.
