Priorities in life change, and so I've decided to sell all but a handful of my 1:400 models. I've been collecting for just under 8 years, so it's a pretty diverse collection, with many models that are harder to find.
I'll be posting about 650 models. For the most part, I'm trying to post these in groups, based on aircraft type. First ones on the tarmac are the Caravelles and Tu-154s. (Watch for some additional Caravelles and 154s on Wednesday). Market dictates the price (they're only worth what someone is willing to pay), so all bids will be starting at $9.94. For those of you that are fleet-building, there should be some great buys out there for you, too! Take a look and check back regularly for the next several weeks. Shipping details are in the postings. Any questions, feel free to ask. I want to be fair to everyone who might be interested in some of the "rare" models, so I won't be selling any outside of ebay. But if you're wondering whether a particular model will be listed, feel free to send me a note (or ask here) and I'll be happy to let you know. Thanks! I know. I was surprised by that, myself. That is the cost for International Priority Mail for 1 pound (2.2 kg). I'm not trying to profit on shipping--just trying to come up with the right amount that would work across various weights of models. If there is a plane you're interested in, and if the the actual weight is lower (and it would be for the smaller planes), I'll go with the actual cost. Just let me know in advance.
Köszönöm! Steve |

In the past day I've posted some of the harder-to-find Caravelles and 707s, in case you might be interested in any of them:
AC Air France Caravelle ("Lorraine") AC Air Inter Caravelle AC United Airlines Caravelle (Mainliner) AC Aeroflot Tu-154 w/USSR Flag (Soviet Union Flag) AC British Airways 707 Red Tail AC South African Airways 707 "Cape Town" (Springbok Livery) Plenty of other Caravelles, Tu-154s and 707s out there now, as well. More AC/GJ 707s to be posted soon, with 727s to follow. Next will be 737s, 747s and on up the line. Airbus, Douglas, Vickers, etc., will be all be there, as well, in the weeks to come. Any questions, it's easiest (and most efficient) to send them to me from the eBay postings. Thanks! Steve |

what can one say . Going to be a very interesting few weeks $£$£$£ for some of the collectors on this site. Beautiful stuff so far My question is, should any Cathay collectors be keeping our 'powder dry', for some later listings

Re: FOR SALE ON EBAY: 8 Years of 1:400 Collecting, All Starting at $9.94
Thanks! I'm posting a Cathay Pacific 707 shortly. It was made my Aeroclassics (or at least on the Aeroclassics mould), but similar to a number of mdels, the specific manufacturer is not identified (licensing issues, I'm sure).
Future weeks will also bring the "Spririt of Hong Kong" 747-400, by Dragon Wings; a 747-400 in the current livery, by Herpa (purchased at the airport in Hong Kong), and the Green Box DC-6 (Aeroclassics mould). These will all probably be listed in early September. Monday, September 1 is national holiday in the States (Labor Day), so I won't have anything listed that weekend. I'm listing everything for 10 days to give it a broad audience. Hope this helps! Steve |

Re: FOR SALE ON EBAY: 8 Years of 1:400 Collecting, All Starting at $9.94
I'm still working this out and trying to better understand international shipping options. I haven't had to ship parcel packages overseas in the past (other than surface mail 20+ years ago). If anyone can pass along examples of what others have charged and the options they have used, I'm willing to consider the options.
Thanks! Steve |
