And the famous Mosquito, this is the Nightfighter version NF.Mk II. Kit from Airfix.

I finally assembled this cardboard diorama kit. Itīs basically a floor, two walls and a ceiling, and I glued this to stryrene sheets for greater stability. The printing is really good and it resembles a heavy sheltered German secret "V-weapons" factory, so you can display Luftwaffe jets here.

Wow, now that is a nice collection you've got there! The Horten HO-IX, or 229, is really a special aircraft.

Thanks Oskar ! There is a very nice book, "Ho 229: The Spirit of Thuringia" about this aircraft and it also debunks some urban legends about the Horten; it was not designed with stealth features in mind as suggested almost everywhere. It also remains doubtful if it would have been an effective fighter aircraft.

Re: Some WWII Fighters in 1/72

I actually think that the 229 had some potential. But, seeing as how Hitler messed with the Me.262, demanding that it be made a fighter-bomber, it's possible that he could've screwed up the 229 aswell had the war not ended when it did.

Beautiful kits! If only I could paint as well as you. I just can't seem to get the models to look how I want.

Thanks ! But I donīt consider myself an advanced or very skilled modeler. Painting is fun but it can also be really difficult depending on the paintscheme. I donīt use airbrush but Tamiya paint spray for larger surfaces.

Oh, i remember that one. I remember using it Battlefield 1942. I was not a very good pilot, but damn was it fun!

Looking forward to seeing the outcome. :)
