I noticed that ID 3685 9V-SPG had some improvements done and the new release was ID 17049 according to the ID3685 it says that the model was discontinued in 2002 when it actually changed on Singapore Airlines in 2005/2006. In 2006 ID 17049 was being sold on Singapore Airlines but it never got discontinued from the dutyfree magazine as I recently purchased the newer model. ID 17049 shows it was discontinued in 2007 but it is still being sold.

Dicontinued refers to the production run of the model. It will continue to be sold until stocks run out.
