Amazing pictures Charter! 
The old A330 mould of Herpa was very nice, the TAP one is a spot on model. The new one may be nice but it's still too high and the nose is too pointy.

Thanks for your appreciation. I hope Herpa will produce the TAP A319, a SATA International A320 and some Thomson models (B737-800 and B757-200), i need them for this amazing airport. About TAP A319, if Herpa will produce it i will buy two models, one for landing and one for the takeoff towards Lisbon.

Well, I think you can expect a TAP A319... SATA A320 is a huge ''maybe''... same for Thomson.

I am hoping for a 1:500 scale model of the TAP A319, too! Went to Spain via Portugal last month, so having this plane would be great. I collect a mix of current and historical planes (after all, today's current airliners will be tomorrow's classics), and my philosphy is, "If you've flown it, you should own it!"

Thanks so much for your compliments, they are even more appreciated because you are from Portugal and you know the airport. I love Funchal because it is the prototype of leisure airports with a very difficult landing, especially when there are extreme weather conditions (wind shear). Then the ocean on one side of the runway and the hill on the other side...incredibly beautiful. Funchal was and is my masterpiece, i never reached the same perfection for an existing handmade airport if not for Malta (for buettni).
I am waiting for the TAP A319, i need of this model for Funchal.

Well, this airport means a lot for me; the first airport, an almost "perfect replica" (for my skills, of course), a beautiful leisure airport, one of the most difficult to land to...

Thank you! I will return the favour for being creative and kind! Contrary to popular belief, Madeira Airport requires more precision, rather than skills. News and topics convince you that it's one of the hardest airports to land. To an extent, you're right about the wind shear, but that's a minor concern compared to the real reason. All pilots follow the EXACT same waypoints and route to land. The most talked about waypoint being ROSARIO where the aircraft starts turning towards the runway. Now the real reason actually has to do with following the waypoint with millimetric precision until you reach ROSARIO. From thereon pilots switch to manual and use the Arch NavAid which are a dozen white lights located before the runway which help the pilots to center the aircraft and line up perfectly (or almost) with the runway.

SO happy to re-visit Funchal with you. I really love what you have been doing with your airport buildings. In particular, the terra-cotta coloration of this terminal has just the right amount of saturation v. weathering to balance the realism of beauty and age. And, the facelift given to the ground markings reflects your usual perfection. An excellent update and thrilled to see it again here  . This airport model is one of the all-time classics of the Wings900 forum. Exquisite!
