T gauge Trains and Airports

G'day,

Had an interesting conversation with a friend over the weekend (He's a rail enthusiast!) and he has turned my interest to T gauge model trains and accessories (1:450 scale) to compliment my recently acquired 1:400 Gemini Airport set-up.

Has anyone else considered this possibility? Here's a link:
T Gauge Headquarters: Home

Currently it's possible to buy not only trains, but heaps of accessories, from bicycles, to farm animals, multi-storied buildings, to cars with doors that can be open or closed, road signs and street lights as well as boats etc...

Link to accessories available in 1:450 scale:

Finally here are some photos taken from a 1:400 Queen Mary 2 display in 1:400 including a T gauge railway!

Lots of possibilities! I will definitely be adding a rail line to my airport

Cheers Lou

PS: I'm not in any way affiliated with any links provided nor have I posted this using my position as Team Member to influence others. This is my own thoughts on this!

Photo One : The QM2 kit is the Revell 1/400 scale with Gold Medal photo-etch set specifically for this kit which replaces the plastic rail set. Comes with cctv cameras, sun loungers and steamer chairs, tables, pool rails, and captain etc.

Photo Two : All the vehicles however are 4D modelshop white metal castings with the addition of the excavator and it`s low loader (scratch built) and Boris Johnson`s proposed new Routemaster at the foot of the dock crane!

Photo Three : If you have any questions regarding the construction of this magnificent model, you can contact the model maker Lloyd Ramsey here: sealegs1970@gmail.com

Re: T gauge Trains and Airports

Looks like he used gemini jetways. I think a train/plane layout would be amazing, Southampton would be good for that as the station is right next to the terminal!
