Re: The Development: Fantasy Airport
Oh this is lovely I suggest spraying the board with a sealer afterwards to protect it and make it smoother and to prevent the cracking of the paint. Plus try and fold the buildings and the blast fences a bit more so they don't look so round so that you get a clean fold

Yes, however because MDF is not so flexy, i like the cracks, gives a point of realisim in terms of a used taxiway/ tarmac effect..?
I will try and sought out the card structures. I appreciate your comment

Re: The Development: Fantasy Airport
I have tried with the card structures as possible but it seems not much difference, if any at all has been made.
I have spent a good day unrolling, cutting and glueing down the grass, and then sweeping any spare parts and small grass fibres.
Here is an overview (mind the sunlight) and a close up.... I still have plenty more work to do on this airport. Also I have added a path/roadway from the GA area.

Beautiful Adam, it is a wonderful layout! You have learned how to build an handmade airport, well done! I love the idea of the fence around the grass.

No, I don't think so, they are definitely a lime sort of colour by the looks of it.

A few days, I am thinking of adding gate markings using real world parking and adding taxiway signs, adding other accessories etc.

Re: The Development: Fantasy Airport
Like very much your airport model. Put gateways will be fine for the quality of the airport, but I know that you donīt put gateways. canīt wait to see the finished project.
Greetings

Thankyou, The reason I don't want gatweways/jetways/airbridges is because they can be 'fidly' when it comes to different aircraft and the position each will have to be in.
