2011 BEST Model Airport AWARDS! is GAME!
Need I say more?
It's been a full year without them... and boy did I miss the action!
Last year the applications were fierce! Amazing work done by members with talent, spirit, enthusiasm and true sportsmanship. These are all virtues of our fellow members in this community.
You got something to show?
I BET!
Here is what I want:
(please read carefully. It delays the process a great bit when I have to send a mail to each contestant asking for fulfill his entry facts)
Details:
-Scale
-Materials used
-Construction time (aprox.)
-Total Cost (aprox.)
Photos:
- 3 to 5 images 800*600 in .JPG format
Applying in 5 categories:
- Best Existing Airport (for dioramas replicating an airport from the real world)
- Best Fictional Airport
- Best Retro Airport
- Best Mini Airport Diorama
- Best Airport Under Construction (real or fictional)
Airport projects that had taken part last year can not compete again under the same category. (e.g. If you were in "Under Construction" last year you can only apply in Retro, Existing or Fictional this year)
Prizes:
If the applications get a serious volume, I am pretty sure I can get you guys some sweet gifts from an online Shop sponsoring these awards. Else I will hand out gifts personally from my collection, as I did last year!

I would have joined this competition, but my airport is nothing but a plain wooden panel with some pencil lines! Maybe next year I will make an entry though I doubt I shall win, as there are so many great airports out there!!  Good luck to everyone!

I will join this great contest with London City Airport: i have many potential good airports (also if i will never win because handmade airports aren't so well regarded...), but i think that LCY is the most know and the most well accepted.

Shoot, right after exam season. Looks like I won't be entering, or entering a very incomplete airport in the under construction category. I better get to work...

DeltaDude is onboard with his Fictional project ans so is the gigantic airport of Chich Lap Kok in the Existing Category !!
