Photos for my first airport

Hi all,

So ever since I moved into my new house a couple years ago, I never really had the chance to work on my airport until the purchase of a Philippine Airlines B777. I tore down large sections of the terminal and completely re-built them.

I have attached photos of the latest construction of the terminal. Feedback is welcome and any tips are appreciated.

Also, if any of you know why the tarmac turned green on the parking spot the US Airways is using, please let me know...I can't tell you how many parking foils I've wasted because of this problem.

Thanks,

JC

Re: Photos for my first airport

Thanks guys,

I always thought about getting some LED lighting. However, can anyone tell me a website or article about either where to get them or how to make them?

Thank you jwalters692005 for the advice, I will try to use less glue next time.

For a small model, i would stay away from LED's since you might need resistors. I would just use some grain bulbs and a 9v battery. You can always google LEDs and how to wire them... I ll write a guide soon on how to wire using LED's

Re: Photos for my first airport

So I searched for LED lights, I found some on RadioShack website but idk how good they are...I'll figure out how to wire them up because my friend says he knows what to do so I'll see what I can do and update with the latest photos.

Thanks!

Good luck with the lights, and be sure to post some photos when the lights are added.

Re: Photos for my first airport

I searched on the website and found 20 photos of real-life airport night scenes. Using the photos hopefully it'll help me create a wonderfully realistic night lighting environment. But I've still got lots to do, look up how to wire LED lights but I will keep my airport updated.

Re: Photos for my first airport

So my LED lights from ebay are on their way. Meanwhile I wanted to see what it would look like, so i tried some night lighting with 3 LED flashlights. The photos are not that good because I'm not very good at night shots, and also I was holding a flashlight with my mouth so the camera is kinda unsteady.

They appear a bit dark when compared to this real-life photo, taken at San Francisco.

Re: Photos for my first airport

Night Lights have finally become reality! Even though it's only 2 lights, eventually the whole terminal will be lit up. Enjoy the pics!

Re: Photos for my first airport

Next time you go to glue the sections down, I would highly recommend using the spray adhesive as it will not leave those unsightly glue stains on the foil.
