2009's Best Model Airport Awards

So it's time for 2009's Best Model Airport Awards

We will start by nominating the airports on the next categories:

Best Model Airport 1/400
Best Model Airport 1/500
Best Model Airport 1/200
Best Shown step by step model airport
Model Airport of the year

If you want to compete and your model airport isn't finished you have until December 20 in order to compete.

It's your time to vote for your favorite airport, the winner will win a special prize, a big congratulation from everybody. You have to show a link or pictures of it.
Vote now! and remember, second place is the first looser

note: if W900 winner is diffrent than DAC's one we will have a contest between forums.

Re: 2009's Best Model Airport Awards

No way. You give us 9 days to complete a model airport?
Next time you should start 2-3 months before your proposed deadline to completion.
There may be collectors who already have something in progress, but for some who wants to be part of this got only 9 days. That's not a load of time. lol.
Besides there's nothing to vote about right now, don't you mean "send your entry now"? Or perhaps something I missed? Hehe

Rex,
I think I understand what he is talking about...
Offer your airport to the competition, let's say- mat will offer InterGate Airport as so..
and we will choose, in the days left for the next year...
jonatan- am I right?

Re: 2009's Best Model Airport Awards

He means enter any existing airport you have (unless you want to whip together an airport before the 20th) that you'd like to be a part of the competition. Its a good idea and it'll be interesting to see some of the entries . Btw, I think you have too many categories and you should just have a 'model airport of the year'. Makes things a whole lot simpler

As for the many categories...
It helps people like me, not "experts" in making model-airports, to have a chance to win ...XD

Santa won't be bringing me the extra lego I need for my terminal until the 25th. Can you extend the deadline?

Re: 2009's Best Model Airport Awards

To many categories?? Like for me is ok. You have to remember the scale 1:500 has less details like scale 1:200 so airports in 1:200 are more exciting, precise like 1:500. There are two very difference models and we can't put this airports to one bag.

What I mean, is that if you want to compete and you airport isn't finished you can finish it before 2009. This contest is for the model airports that where built this year.

that's why there's a winner for every scale. And model airport of the year will be for the best airport, scale doesn't matter, except 1:1.

PD: edited categories for easier contest

Bummer....I'd love to enter my airport but it's only half done! Too bad there isn't much motivation to compete other than bragging rights...Good luck with this one!
