Re: Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi)

The work is going well...
Im using DeadMan's idea of foundation for the building..but Im doing it both sides terminal.
I had difficelties in understanding the shape of the Terminal..XD
The Terminal will have some levels- Lowest-Gates and gangways, and the upper ones will be used as approaching paths.
For the cover of the terminal i will use simple platic sheet which i'll slightly cut so it will look like glass..(hopefully).
As I understood, Im building concourse C- which is for International Flights, therefore, the aircrafts in the terminal will be:

1.Korean Air B747
2.Delta B777
3.British Airways B747 (Scotland Livery)
4.El Al Israel Airlines B747
5. Thai - B747 or/plus A340
6.SAA- A300 or B747 Nazidani Livery (Im not sure a A300 can do this route..)
7. Vietnam Airlines B767

Re: Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi)

Why should a A300 not make it to fly to BKK from South Africa?
Etihad, Emirates, Air India, Saudi, Iran Air and more managed to get their A300 aircraft and A310 either non-stop from their hubs to Europe.

I would recommend using real routes and real airlines/aircraft which operate to BKK. For example, El Al fly's 777's, not 747's. SAA doesn't even fly there! I realize you may not have all the models needed, but now you have something to base your purchases on. It would all add to the realism

Im not sure if El Al isnt flying the B747 to Bangkok, all my friends who flew in TLV-BKK used B747...its the summer route aircraft.

I didnt know SAA doesnt have routes to BKK, I better look for new one.
Im now trying to get a B747 and A340 Thai so it will look much more thai'sh airport.
Since I dont have alot of models,Im trying using my owm models.
Can you recommened me which models should I use, from the next models:
Delta B777
Vietnam Airlines B767
Austrian (old livery ) A340
EVA Air (old lovery) B747 (Im not sure this big aircraft is needed to TPE-BKK route..XD).

Suvarnabhumi Airport - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
That'll give you a list of all the airlines at BKK and their destinations. If you need to know which aircraft, just go to the airline's website and check the schedule

Re: Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi) 1:500

Hello... I see you have an ambitious project ahead of you. This is great! I always try to something a little more adventurous, and this project seems to check the box

Just a suggestion, I don't think the fly with this aircraft but what the hell:
Eva Air B777-300ER (its rare, and it's pricey, but hey..: Herpa 1:500 EVA Air B 777-35EER - Wings900 ID# 11179)
FedEx MD-11 (Herpa 1:500 Federal Express MD-11F - Wings900 ID# 867)

I love both these aircrafts and airlines, and that is the basis for my suggestion. Good luck, and keep us updated pleaseee

Re: Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi) 1:500

Thank you all, these are nice offers..
especially thatnks to Rex. , it wil help me alot.
As you probabely understood already...I dont have much resources for these models.
I have some money for new models each time..through Im not working and using Birthday's money for models.
The other problem for me is the shipping prices to Israel - its like same prices to a distant island in the pacific ocean..XD
So at the moment..Im using the models I've already got, in the future-further models will be added.
What do you think about adding new bmi flights to BKK, lol ? or should I keep a A330 bmi to my british Airport ? XD

Well.. bmi fly to Tel Aviv, so why not Thailand. And at the end of the day, it's about making the airport YOUR OWN. IMHO, it would look really smart with those other Thai heavies... you could even make a few gates Star Alliance exclusive ! LOL

Hey!

That sounds an awesome route you have come up with
As you probably know, you ought to make a thread in the model for sale section, and have a hunt on eBay. Is there an Isreali eBay?

EDIT: I have found one for you, it is a B777-300, but hey-ho: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sky-500-Herpa-...3A1%7C294%3A50
