Re: Dubai International Airport 1:500 (in progress)

One thing that stands out with this thread is not only the quality of work in the subject matter itself (i.e., the model airport) but the fact that the TS is outlining the how-to's. This thread is proving to be a great resource and is the reason why people keep viewing these boards. Keep up the good work!

Re: Dubai International Airport 1:500 (in progress)

Thanks to all of you. I hope I could go on with work on Dubai this weekend to post some new picture. Think you're greedy about new pictures.

Several weeks are gone since I have started building Dubai. Actualy I really like it and my gf even too. Hope I will finish it as good as it is now. After the idea - okay okay it was Rex idea - I decided to build a clean and smooth airport. Want exact lines on ground and building or parts of it should look same each other.
Think thats the reason why the modell airport looks so good. Maybe if you try your own airport or to all other builder, try to spend 5 minutes more in work to figure out how it would look best or how to do it. Don't even grap your pen and draw a line on the ground - maybe the line would be sinious or something else.
It took long time to get all lines on Dubai ground but I like them very much. They are mostly clean and straight, so just like the real Dubai.

Don't understand that in wrong way ... just a hint. What's the saying? Everything need time ...

*edit* Okay okay ... just for you ... the last preview pic with the new cover for my diorama which I have collected on way back home last weekend. Don't recognize the hump in the middle of the cover - it's just temporary.
