Your use of night lighting, off-airport scenery, and general planning of this project is impressive and I look forward to seeing the progress that will be made. I've already bookmarked your site! Keep up the good work! Oh and post more pics when you can!

Thank-you Cory, and everyone else, for your positive comments. This recognition makes it a pleasure to participate in this hobby, which is, after all, a celebration of our shared passion for aviation!! Re: the use of printed foils, I found that due to the customization required for my airport, they weren't the time-savers that I had hoped for. My next project will feature custom-made runways and aprons set above grade, and is going to be located in the wonderful American West, in a 'high desert' location. I am thinking of working on this in tandem with the Florida Keys Regional project--much left to do and I'll be happy to share the progress on both!pete

Wow. I love this airport. Even though it is a work in progress, I think it is great to show the surrounding landscape to give the airport a sense of where it is located. The cut out doors on the DC 10 parked at your hangar are genious, no one else has had the guts to do that. Post more pictures as your work continues!

Thank you very much for the compliment. You know from your own experiences how much having a diorama increases the fun of this hobby. Since this airport was made, I have taken the best ideas and techniques from this construction, and am currently applying them to a new project which is about 75% complete (unfortunately I work very slowly!!). Soooo, coming soon I will unveil "County Line Airport," set on the water between Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties in Florida, U.S.A.
