Help regarding herpa lighting system and airport build

I am new to this and have been making plans to make my own aiport.

i was wondering if anyone could help me with a query about the herpa lighting system.

If i am to purchase the complete set of airport and road lights, does this provide me with everything i need to fit and light my airport?

Also does anyone know a good model shop in the uk where i can purchase tools to build a terminal building, eg walls, roof etc

Tried at the airport? You may have some luck in either the two shows or at Sunday's show, though somehow I doubt it.

From my point of view, buy the Herpa fibre-kit for runway/taxiway lights, but stay away from the Herpa lightpoles for apron-illumination. I do not think they look any realistic at all.
Instead You should look for z-scale lightpoles for model-railroad. I think they look far better then the big "paperclips" from Herpa.

thanks for your help sasmd90. Great aiport pics, the lights look really good, has given me some more ideas for my airport. Do you have any more pics?
