Hi, Jumper.

Cool aiport. You gave me the idea on the clouds back draft. How did you do that? Did you just get an image from the web & printed it? What lights did you use?

Re: Hanse International Airport

nice work, but a simple question about the lights!!

on your airport the runaway and the apron is full of light, but the terminal is 100% dark.....hmmm how realistic is that... even by a terminal with reflecting glas stroefront, you see lot of lights at night and also parking buildings or towers and even the gangways are full of lights at night...

so I think if you want realistic lights on runaway or by apron than you should also think about the buildings, towers etc.....

some examples in reality

Airliners.net Photos: - -

Airliners.net Photos: - -

Airliners.net Photos: - -

even the gangways have lights, or how should passengers find the way to plane

Airliners.net Photos: Scandinavian Airlines - SAS Boeing 737-683

that's why in my opinion it look more realistic to build a day diorama without lights, cuz on a night dioram like yours with such great runaway lighting dark terminals and other dark buildings and dark gangways would look weird comparing to rest

but your diorama looks nice, my comments were just a suggestion to improve it not to criticize you

Re: Hanse International Airport

@ baxter66:

For the clouds back draft I used item # 6112 "Wolkenhintergrund" from Vollmer, a German modeltrain assecories maker.

For the lights I used Herpa's item # 520447, 520461 and 520454.
