I thought there already was a plane for the trip around the world, but maybe that can be changed.

I managed to get some special stamps for my parcel. In 2009, it was 100 years since the first motorised flight. There were special stamps made for them. I managed to get an entire sheet of those stamps.

A picture:

Now I need some more/other stamps to get enough to cover for the shipping costs.

UPDATE

Just a couple of updates for you guys.

1) The donor model, 1/500 Delta 752 Breast Cancer Awareness is en route from Guernsey. Once here i expect to have it posted by Friday to the first on the list, flight Fan.

2) According to the Great Circle Mapper we're at 80'695 miles. As Doc has said, three guys have voted and not put their name on the list. One of you could be responsible for breaching the 100'000 mark, so jump on board!

3) Once the model has made its first leg, i'll create a new thread so that each member can add their photo and the mileage the model has done so far. I'll PM members the link to the thread as we could easily go a week or so before updates.

Lastly, I would like to say a very big thank you to you all for your interest. This idea actually stemmed from another thread where i talked about picking up a model that a few other members were getting, a sort of model around the world.

For me it was an idea to show the strength of W900 and i think the uptake here has displayed that. We have guys who have been members for years, professional men with families who have jumped on board right down to students with fewer responsibilities who have been keen.

Whilst for us this is a bit of fun, i like the idea of being able to help out a charity.
