Tips for Posting Photos in Threads (including from Airliners.net & Jetphotos.net)

The photographers at the Airliners.net and Jetphotos.net would really appreciate your views by doing this method.

When one picks a photo from the two sites, note that there is two small tags (One for Anet, One for Jetphotos) for the photos just above the Reply box here on wings900

Example : http:/ / ww w.jetphotos.net/viewp hoto. php?id=6528940&nseq=0

You see the 7digits on the url, copy that and click on the TAGS [JPx] xxxxx [x/JP] & [ANETx] xxxxxx [x/ANET] Replace the X's inside in between the brackets and place the digits there. See nr. 3

Like this :

1 - Copy numbers from the url : 652 89 40
2 - Paste the numbers in between the brackets.

3 - [JxP]6 52 8940 [/JP]
4 - Voila.



By using thumbnails on these forums, we give the photographers something in return, that's appreciation of their work and lots of views !

How to post images for free onto W900 forums by using popular photo hosting sites like imageshack, photobucket and xs.to.

ImageShack® - Image Hosting
1. Click on the "Browse" button to find the image. (accepts photo file sizes up to 2mb.)

2. A pop up window will appear. Find your image and select it.

3. Resize the image (640/800 pixel will do just fine) (When you have selected the size, unless the photo is already at the mentioned sizes.)

4. Press Start Upload, (marked with RED)

5. Now options of ways to show your hosted image of. By thumbnails or direct image hotlinking.

6. Select the preferred style, normally people opt for the "Hotlink for forums 1" So click on the bar, and it auto-copy the codes inside it.

7. Paste the image on to your thread or reply.

And the image should appear like this, when hosted from the site: trough hotlink or forum embedding methods.

Or one can choose this feature, intergrated in the Vbulletin forum system, that W900 uses.

When you want to include a photo in your reply, press Post reply.



And it should take you to the reply box. with all the tools you need.

Right below the reply box, you will find this.

Attach Files

Valid file extensions: bmp gif jpeg jpg png txt

Press on the Manage attachments button.
And then "Browse" the image. Press download. (But bear in mind that it should be resized down to 1024 or below.)

It will appear like this on your attachment box. It will automatically attach to your reply. (When you submit your reply) it will shop up as thumbnails, where viewers can press on it to view a bigger resolution, up to 1024 Pixel.
