Re: Air Hostesses

Having met some of the girls from V Australia, Cougar and I are prepared to call it the world's best airline! The reason? These girls bring us back to a better age of flying - they are young, enthusiastic and really loving the prospect of travel - all those things that seem to be forgotten so often in modern pax operations. Plus, they are all sweet and friendly...

You're right - that one in the middle is a little rough-looking...

BTW - did you like the Loftleidir stew I put up for you 2 days ago? She's probably more your style...

Yeah, the one in the middle is the one I was referring to.

That was very interesting (Loftleidir stew). It's an interesting culture. The northern cultures interest me for some reason. Maybe that's why I live up in the UP of Michigan.

Please flyer, no pointless posts on this thread - save them for somewhere else.

The V Australia Cabin Crew have 3 basic uniforms. The air hostesses wear a uniform that is very similar to those worn on Virgin Blue. They have a choice of skirt or slacks in the same camel color, worn with a white blouse. The blouse is different in that it has colored piping on the pockets and sleeves. The piping and name badges are aqua for regular cabin crew whereas Cabin Leaders have pink. It can also be distinguished by the embroidered red "V" on the left collar wing.

In addition to the standard camel vest, crew are issued with a sweater that is "mulberry" purple - it matches the color of the carpets on the new Boeing 777's. The belt is red leather and the shoes are black and uncomfortable! Like other Virgin cabin crew, they are also supplied with the stylish overcoat which is either red or off-white.

Flight managers ("bursar" for those of more vintage years) wear a black shirt with red piping.

A ready smile seems to be standard issue!
