All respect to Aurelia Grigore. What a true heroine, It takes an experienced stewardess to know what is going on, step up and do something in order to be able to do a quick evacuation of the aircraft, all that while the aircraft is still rolling/sliding on its belly on land or water... Good reading. Thanks Doc for the story of Aurelia Grigore. :-)

Thai Airways flight attendants on one of my flights:
 Isn't it amazing how they can manage to change from that into the chitlada gowns inflight, then change back into it just prior to landing? The chitlada gowns have not changed since their previous uniform: Thai Airways International And here's one FA (on the left) on another flight:  Darker chitlada gowns are usually worn by lead FAs, while the less senior ones wear the brighter and mis-matched colors.

I agree that the diversity of the Royal Thai uniforms is dazzling and the welcome aboard is a very special feeling.
