Re: Air Hostesses

Today another trip back in time. The airlines took great pride in their image and their staff. Stewardesses received training in all aspects of their daily duties. Early passenger planes had overhead luggage racks, similar to those on trains. One needed to be able to reach them without dropping anything upon one's passengers!

This fascinating picture was selected by the fascinating lady in my life!

Re: Air Hostesses

A sneak preview from my upcoming trip report...

Aboard a United Airlines B757.

The steward was a veteran of over 20 years service and usually on transatlantic routes. The stewardess was the only one I've ever seen wearing the hat. You have to admit she wears it with style and real panache!

Re: Air Hostesses

A bit of vintage Australian comedy from the '90s...

Steve Vizard and Michael Veitch played a pair of Qantas hosties, Darryl and Wayne, on the Fast Forward show.

Not as funny as the Kung Fu sketch but iconic at the time.

Happy, El Capitano, that the flow has slowed?

Been busy with other things but thought I'd make it up to you with this hostie from Nordic Airways.
