Re: Air Hostesses

I just remebered a NOT so pleasant incident.....
I am a huge fan of Lufthansa and this story is true, not trying to desciminate either the airline nor the hard working staff:
On my flight FRA-ORD I was complemented on my apearance by a Lufthansa in flight attendant, kept giving me bags of peanuts through out the flight (although servicing the other isle) and kept inviting me to the rear of the aircraft for a chat when on a break.
the attendant was a MALE steward he even got to whisper in my ear that he is gay and that he is "off the roof" since I walked in to the plane. Offered me flights and vacations to exotic places etc. All that while I was standing in line to the restroom. I politely cleared my "sexual tendencies". He did however give me a postcard with all his contact data.
In chicago I met another homosexual (very nice fella), and handed him the steward's postcard.
I found out they met after 5 months.. but didn't hit it off
I must say it was a very unprofessional act of the individual. Good for him I have a good sense of humor and dealt with it lightly. Any other guy could have given him Trouble.

This image is NOT of that guy, but of a cute story you can read here:

Thought I'd throw out a compliment to the North Central Hosties of long ago. During the Winter in Northern Michigan, when you crunched through the ice and shuffled through the little snow banks up to the NC DC-3, you then climbed the small ladder, walked up the very slanted, carpeted isle and plopped down into a rather luxurious seat. At that point, the sweet Hostie would present you with a nice soft, warm blanket, much bigger and thicker than those available today. The reasoning behind this professional, welcoming gesture wasn't just an afterthought. No. It was because the temp in the cabin could easily be BELOW FREEZING!!! You see, the cabin heater, in the back of the DC-3, couldn't be run on the ground. This was due to fumes, I think. Ya coulda hung MEAT in those Dakotas! And yet, the Cabin Crew remained smiling and courteous. Wearing their HEAVY, blue overcoats, scarves and gloves with their breath blowing visibly forward, they unfailingly showed a style and good humor that was warming to behold. (Post takeoff hot coco and coffee to follow!)

Ah, the good 'cold' days,
Brian

Re: Air Hostesses

Oh this classic bmi hat...
I flew with them last Christmas, and I found out the the air hostesses must to put them outside the aircraft, but inside it they don't ,thanks god, put it on...
This hat is the traditional School Uniform's hat in britian..
check the "India" ad. of BA- The british girl is wearing the traditional uniforms and this strange hat is easily visible. YouTube - British Airways (Official India Advert)
I think if we'll look closely, we can see more items in bmi's uniforms from the school uniform...XD

No Furry not at all. As a matter of fact, I want to marry the one on the right and have an affair with the one on the left, so this works out perfectly. I don't mind sharing

Re: Air Hostesses

OK boys and girls... Time to revert back to a bit of tradition.

October is almost half done and I have not yet paid tribute to the Germanic Flugbegleiterin and Oktoberfest!

Let's get the show on the road.

This year Lufthansa has produced a new Trachten uniform for the cabin crew flying out of München, the home of Oktoberfest, to celebrate.

Here it is:

And as always, a little Oktoberfest action!
