Re: Air Hostesses

Not every airline uses the services of the houses of haute couture to design their uniforms. A very good case in point is that of easyJet which had its cabin crew come up with their own ideas for a new look. The result was very popular amongst employees whilst retaining the distinctive colors of the brand.

The initiative was undertaken in 2007 at the instigation of the airline's head of cabin services, Tina Milton. Prior to 2007, easyJet cabin crew wore black pants and orange polo shirt outfits reminiscent of so many low-cost carriers. The re-vamped uniforms look stylish and very professional - something appreciated by the cabin crew themselves and excellent for corporate morale.

Currently, crew members can select from among a number of different pieces such as orange or white shirts, jackets or waistcoats, and mix and match the pieces to suit their own style and comfort needs

Ms Milton recently won the award in the 'corporatewear' section at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show in Birmingham, UK.

Re: Air Hostesses

Glad to see this one Doc. I recently flew Easyjet and thought they looked well in the uniforms...as well as you can with orange! My other half wished they had them when she was flying with them

Re: Air Hostesses

Some from Tiger Airways Australia. If you want to see more, just tell me. Note there is two female tops, one for summer which is the shirt and the winter cotton top. Pants are cords and the male shirt is alot yellower than what is shown there.

Re: Air Hostesses

I personally think the Tiger uniform is vile- from a distance it looks ooookay, but up close it just looks cheap and nasty, like it came from Supre. Not having a go at the crew in any way, they can't help it, but it really detracts from them I think. If it was done in nicer fabrics it would look a lot better, I can't imagine it wears very well for long with all the washing it would get!

Now HERE's a stylish uniform...

And some more of the EY crew:

Not FAs but the first female cadet pilots, quite an achievement I tthink!

I like this next one, as it's a rare shot of the purser uniform, the veiled hat is replaced with a patterned scarf & the addition of red gloves makes it quite stylish. I think this should be the regular EY uniform

Etihad & Malaysian:

I think this one has been done before, but I quite like it for obvious reasons!

One more from Australia, this time from regional airline Skywest (formerly part of Ansett)

I think they have one of the nicer uniforms in Aus, very retro in appearance but still modern in cut

Re: Air Hostesses

Why doesn't people want to fly with SAS anymore???
Hmmm. I you had a choice to go with Cathay or Etihad to Asia, with young beautyful air hostesses (Especiallt Etihad with the sexy Pinay girls) or go with SAS, Lufthansa or some of the other european airlines, with 50+ air hostesses (or guys...) that are rude, what would you choose?
Especially when flying 10 hours+ I want something nice to look at and maybe talk to (when the wife is at the restroom...). I pay so much money for the ticket so I think I can damand that from the airlines.
