When did this airline exist? That is Hong Kong in the pic behind the air hostess.

I'm not a Lost fan, but isn't that the airline the crash victims were on?... And she has to to be a model

Re: Air Hostesses

Hi Cathay250 and Matt109,

If you want the whole story on my factitious Oceanic Airlines, go to the Any Lost fans here? thread on this site. Then see my postings toward the bottom of page 2. I'm pretty new to these sites, and so I don't have many postings, but most of them concern Oceanic Airlines and the 1/400 B-777 I've ordered in it's colors. You might check out some of these.

You can also just Google Oceanic Airlines and you'll find several official (ABC TV) sites as well as many more nonofficial but really fun sites. Enjoy!!

Best regards,
Brian

Re: Air Hostesses

Not all the hosties posted are real. There are many from fiction through the pages - from literature to film & TV. (plus the odd fantasy model!)

Tomorrow I have another unusual "fictional" hostie whom I met last night!!!

Today it's fitting to post a pic from the great crew who looked after me on SQ342 yesterday.

Re: Air Hostesses

I've seen all these great pictures you took of Air Hostesses, and I was wondering:
Do you just go to the rare or middle gallery and ask them if you can take a picture of them?
Im not sure any ELAL or Israeli air hostesses will let me take a picture of him/her...LOL

Re: Air Hostesses

Overdue....

Very hectic schedule and hard to get the opportunity to post much...

On Sunday night I had dinner at Runway 34 Restaurant in Zurich - the one with the Ilyushin-14T inside. Upon entering the building a stewardess meets you at check-in and escorts you to your flight!

I will post some pics of the dining experience elsewhere later...

Re: Air Hostesses

Don't think there have been many over the years that have refused a photo.

The fraulein in question was simply trying to get through her work.

Here are some more FA's from my next leg.

Re: Air Hostesses

Today a bit of history I picked up visiting the New England Aviation Museum at Logan with Kaptain Kardar.

The world's first hosties to fly the transAtlantic route were flying for American Export Airlines in 1942.

All were trained nurses, as was the way of it since the 1930's and from left to right they were:
Adele Jenkins, Genevieve St Mary, Margaret Siegfried, Dorothy Bohanna and Virginia Osuch.

Excellent day out Dazza!
