It's no joke, he's been doing it for years. Many KLM Cityhopper pilots and the spotters knew this, but apparently it's world news. He has a Fokker 70 typerating, occasionally flying our government's Fokker 70. In order to maintain his type rating, he has to fly 150 hours a year, and he does so at KLM.

He also regularly flew the Goverment aircraft PH-KBX to wherever he needed to go. I am quite surprised that it is world news now....

As the Dutch Government ordered a new 737BBJ aircraft I think he's also getting his 737 type-rating. So who knows if we'll see him flying a KLM 737 in a few years.

He actually is starting his conversion to the 737 soon. Will be flying our new 737BBJ as wel as KLM 737s!

He's training to become a 737 certified pilot in the summer apparently.
