TAA A300B4 - "Camelhump" livery
Once again, hats off to my mate Geoff of GT Models for this beauty which he started for me but had to leave unfinished as he moved overseas. Fortunately the hard bits were all done and I had only to add finishing touches.
This is one of the 6 Airbus A300B4's that TAA used to operate before becoming Australian Airlines. Eventually they would be swallowed by Qantas as the market here was deregulated somewhat and they finished their working life here sporting the Flying Kangaroo. This is VH-TAE - named John Fawkner (I used to work occasionally at the John Fawkner hospital) who was one of the founding fathers of Melbourne where I live. ![]() ![]() More pics being posted in the Flyingdoc/FlyingKook thread.

Doc, congrats on such a custom!! Absolutely stunnig - I can imagine how much time Geoff has to invest to make the artwork. Believe me, I am able to form an opinion on that.
Five thumbs up Bert |

Re: TAA A300B4 - "Camelhump" livery
Excellent model Doc - especially for myself as not long after TAA started the A300's in this livery I was lucky enough to fly on one from Perth to Sydney to Perth, what I remember most was the dramatic ascent rate after take off - Thanks Doc
