Lufthansa A380 x Kinder Chocolate

Anybody recently purchase a Kinder egg to see if they've got a surprise toy, the Lufhansa A380, ?

According to Lufthansa A380's homepage, there will be 2 million mini aircraft built to be place inside the Kinder egg.

Links: Lufthansa A380

wonder what scale will this be and of course the quality as well... anyone has it yet?
please place some pics out.... haha!

Yeah, too bad it is only avaliable in Germany. Since there will also be TG and SQ A380 along with the LHs, why not make it avaliable in Thailand or Singarpore so that we can get them easiler in the Asia Region!

You could buy the planes without the choc on ebay, as a last option.

Re: Lufthansa A380 x Kinder Chocolate

The Kinder eggs here in Singapore are imported from Germany, so there may be a chance there's that A380 hidden away in one. Although I doubt they'd send a batch made for the home country outside of it. I can only hope

Like I said, you will be better off buying the planes without choc on ebay. It will work out more economical.

@ all
i would like to know the quality of these planes. If it is good, I will feed my children with this chocolate till I get these planes - kill 2 birds with one stone.

More news at eierlei.de (March 1st entry): They come in special packs of four eggs, one of which is guaranteed to hold a plane. As to the quality: I doubt you should expect too much. It's a tiny plastic toy, of course. 1/1000 if not less. Not the kind of model an Airbus sales team would leave behind to humour potential customers. Looks kind of cute, though.

Re: Lufthansa A380 x Kinder Chocolate

I saw the planes in flesh and blood today. Pretty good I must say. Scale 1:1000.

My colleagues had bought some of these packs. I immediately bought a set on ebay for 5 Euros - all 3 planes. And that too without the calories.

Apparently, it took Airbus and Ferroro about a year to develop this toy. To fit this superjumbo in a small egg. Surely a piece of history and technology and a must have.

It should become a super collector item. I will arrange to buy the Junkers as well.

Re: Lufthansa A380 x Kinder Chocolate

Here's a pic. They look pretty good, all things considered. They even have Star Alliance logos. No regs of course.

Just before Christmas, a series of A330s was produced as well. They're about the same length as the A380s, so not quite the same scale as the A380s.

Should they all go into the database? I'll take better pictures, then.
