When you check the for sale/trade checkbox when adding or modifying a model, members who havs the model on their wishlist is sent an email - on condition that both parties have have set their preferences to send and accept emails and that the models are "public"".
Email notifications are on the to do list, it would be a weekly round-up email telling you what is available.
