I have bought the fibre-system for taxiway/runway lights, but I have not mounted it yet -
Anyway it seems to be a wonderful system. The point is to drill hundreds of 1 mm holes in the base, and fit the fibre from underneath and secure it with a drop of glue.
The LED-boxes are equipped with hi intensity LED's in blue, green, white and Red. One box with static lights and one box with blinking and sequnsed lights.
One LED-socket can hold up to 25 fibres.
When it comes to the Apron lights, I do find them a bit ugly, so I ordered lights in z-scale (1:220) from
Viessmann in stead. They do not have the "plug and play" system as Herpa's, but at least they look realistic.
