Re: New 1/500 manufacturer: Eagle500

Dear members,
we are still working hard to bring some new products into 1/500 scale. It is harder then we thought and we are now working on the mold tweaks, so we are satisfied with the result. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact us at info@eagle500.com.

Please stay tuned,
Eagle500 Team

Good to see you're still alive, but more info about models would be good...

Re: New 1/500 manufacturer: Eagle500

Dear members,
here is a quick update on on the development:
First model we will produce will be the Yakovlev Yak-42D.

After many struggles, we completely changed our technology for creating the models, which will now be fully resin models. This will enable us creating better molds, and more detail then if we'd used die-cast.

Each production run will be limited to about 100 pieces or less.

We did not decide about pricing yet, but it will most probably be slightly higher then other competing manufacturers, as we are producing in much lower numbers.

Today, we received what we hope are the 'pre-final' samples. The models now are pretty good looking, but still need some improvements we are currently working on.

We will not give another 'deadline' to ourselves, as it is very hard to meet them. We will of course make our best to develop the final product as soon as possible, but we don't want to lower the quality in order to have the models done faster.

Thank you all for your patience,
The Eagle500 Team

Thanks to Eagle500 Team for the infos and for your time. We need of some new models and the Yak-42, if well realized and in Russian airlines liveries, will be a great news.
As confirmed by Eage500 Team, also this time Wikipedia was...what can i say to be polite...wrong?!

Thank you for the update and the open words. It is not common that manufacturers cummunicate directly in this forum, we appreciate that.
Starting with the YAK-42D seems like a good decision as first replies show.
It would be great if you could keep us updated on the availability of your coming products through this channel, hoping that we will not miss your first release due to small production numbers...

Re: New 1/500 manufacturer: Eagle500

Looking forward to seeing the results of this. I'd love some more Yak-42's, seeing as Seagull only produced two liveries.

I'm also looking forward to see the results. I was just checking the Seagull Yak-42 thread... please don't repeat that.

Seagull and Eagle both bird names which look and sound similar. Both making Yak-42s. Is it just me...?

It is in fact curious that both chose the Yak-42
And now the mention of using resin...

Seagull and Eagle500 are not the same company and will not use the same mould.
