Question Star Jets History?

#I need some of this info for my site, any help will be appreciated! Does anybody know:
1. Where are they made?
2. Was it a US owned company in 2000 when they were first produced?
3. Do Schuco a German company now own them?
And anything else that you know about them. Thanks, JAUK....

I'm pretty sure they are parcialy owned by Schucho. But then agait it confuses me because I somewhere once heard they are made by Gemini Jets. There has been much talk in the industry about StarJets aligning itself with a large European collectibles company. Although this has been one year in the making, the time to inform everyone has not been proper until now. The company we are referring to is Schuco from Germany. Schuco is one of the most historical companies in the development of collectible die cast metal toys and has been around for many years. During the 1950's and 1960's, Schuco was one of the first companies to introduce airliner replicas. Any true die cast airliner collector knows how sought after these original models are today. Over recent decades, their emphasis has mostly been on cars and trucks and they felt a need to re-enter the airliner market. With many other manufacturers now involved with the sale of die cast airliners, this match between out companies should give us both the strength to become the world's number one maker of these products. Although StarJets is regarded by many as the "best of the best", our European business has not shown the growth, that our other world markets have shared. Despite the fact that our product is superior to the other European branded products, name recognition is a very important part of the purchasing habits for this particular market. With the Schuco name now prominently appearing on our packaging for Europe, name recognition will no longer be an issue for us. Combined with Schuco's marketing power and prestige in the European region, the alliance of our two companies will give StarJets the strength it needs to establish itself as the leader in the European market. But, I'm sure Star Jets are an American Company.
