Herpa Wings 2002 Archiv Cd

I have just received this and I cannot find Cathay Pacific or ANA models on it. They used to be in the previous CD's does anyone know what happend?

That's strange! I don't know why, maby its because they are not part of the normal Herpa collection. JAUK....

I read something about this on the Herpa website. It seems that the airlines asked Herpa to remove them as they consider those models to be products of the airline and not Herpa.

CX, ANA and Dragon Air did not allow Herpa anymore to integrate information about their models nor on the new CD 2002 neither in the WingsWorld magazine:-((

Maybe future releases will become "complete" again!!!! Let's hope and wait......................

is the contents of cd-rom same with the paper-made catalogue?

No, there is a lot more on the CD-ROM: it contains information of all Wings ever produced by Herpa from 1992 until April 2002 (besides samples, Cathay, ANA and Dragon Air (see posting above)). But all other special items are included!!

There is a picture for every model and detailled information (e.g. engine details)

There are search facilities, you can print lists and forms, you can create an archive of your collection with pictures etc.

It´s right ! HERPA is not allowed to call the modells for CATHAY PACIFIC anymore Herpa-modells. And HERPA is not allowed to place the HERPA logo on CATHY boxes. Because CATHY doesn´t want any connection to HERPA anymore. The same with ANA and Dragon Air.

Another fact according to a statement of HERPA in the forum on their HP is that the modells of thoose 3 airlines never had been produced by HERPA in Germany they were always produced in China.

I´ve copied the HERPA-statement below:
We are sorry, but because of license problems, we were no longer able to include the models of the airlines you mention. However, apart from the new engine detail photos, we have added more than 200 new big photos to the CD-ROM: especially for the variations of models, you may want to try double-clicking on the already zoomed pictures. The yearly update included deserves not really to be mentioned -- but it is our biggest pride that there is no set of data without a photo ...
