Model displays
One of the things I've noticed from the many personal display cabinets I've seen pictured here is that most collectors try to cram as many models as possible into their cabinets. However, it's commonly known among those who display items professionally that the more items you display, the less attention the pieces get. That's because the viewer's attention is dispersed rather than focused when he observes a crowded display. You might want to try rotating fewer models. That will make them more appealing as well as fresh.

It's either craming them all in there or having the sitting on every known place in the house that would hold a model plane. The rest of the family says in the cabinet they go. I have one shelf with gse and gates like an actual airport which is the main focus and planes nicely fit on all the other shelves.

I get one room to cram them all in and display them (or just store them). I figure I'll rotate them in and out every quarter or so.
