Are you getting the entire BB JAL JDE collection?

Just like the title. I am and so far I have the first 3. They are very nice models and for those of you who still don't have a BB i'd recommend you get one cause you'll fall in love when you see it!!

Nope. Only one I will get is Sea. If it ain't something special I ain't paying 40 bucks for a dinky little planes

I hadn't planned on it. I had originally planned to get the Sea planes only as well but since I had to look for them for my brothers gf...I have them as well.

Though I too don't like the fact that we were paying $45+ for the early models but certain dealers were only paying $15-20/per

I have first 3 of BB and i ordered JAL dream express yellow (Herpa) from Aviation center- berlin i love these models

I think getting all the JDEs is ridiculous! First off, as people have already, and have been complaining, its a luxury item - damn expensive. You can get "at least" (I'm being modest) 3 regular release planes for 1 JDE, and if you think about it, by now there's 4 JDEs out (right?) which means you spent around $150!!! Its just a special livery... I got the yellow one, which I liked because of that smiley face on the 747s nose, and the fact that there aren't many yellow planes around, especially in my collection. I'd also consider getting the Disney Sea because of that cool wave pattern. But whats so special about the other 3 JDEs? Its just a white/blue/pink JAL with Disney characters all over them... Now if I worked for JAL or loved Disney or something, maybe its worth it, but I think they're nothing to get obsessed about completing the whole JDE set or anything. But if you can afford it, why not right? Afterall if you find someone who wants it you can rip him off and get some profit! Just watch, those people selling their JDEs, they'll sell them for way more than what they paid for, and I mean at atrocious eBay prices!

And my personal philosophy about BB: get them if you really, really like it. If not, you're just investing in BB without getting anything in return. BigBird's a business. They'll make planes that'll look nice, that are sought-after (due to the fact that they can't be made legally with cooperation with the airline), and ofcourse just like the JDEs they won't hesitate to release a series set livery.

I am planning to get them all, as I don't have any of the Herpa ones. I only have #3-Blue at the monent, but #1+#2 (White+Pink) are on their way! JAUK....

No, I don't plan on getting any BB. I don't collect many big planes. I collect more regionals, A320's, A319's, 717's, 737's, and 757's.

really? i can see a photo of your own collection that include the herpa JDE 1,2 and 6.

Definately no, I only wanted the JDE #3 as this is virtualy impossible to get in a Herpa version. If they are a non liscensed model, they are excessively priced.
