Darn this BB is so crapy, just look at the little mermaid and the genie and aladdin's face, they are butt ugly (or coyote ugly hehehehe!!) Besides also the lines of the cartoons are too thick.

So I say case closed... you can't argue with these pics.

Yes, I can see that the Herpas detailing is more accurate than the BigBirds.

But, I am still going to purchase the JAL 'Pink' from BigBird. Why ? Because it is still a far better mould than the Herpa, AND I want a complete set of the JAL's that will complement each other. I think that a herpa would look odd with the BigBirds.

I am bothered though that they could not have done a better job. They have the capabilities to do so.

how do the rest of you feel on this ?
Will you still buy one ?
(this question is directed to those who planned on buying one, NOT to those who had NO intentions even from the start.)

Yep! I already pre-ordered mine with Dave, well 2 actually but I guess I'll make it one after seeing this pics.

I will buy it because this is the only brand that will make the entire collection of the 6 planes and like Shawn said I want them to complement each other.

With herpa you will never end up with the 6 planes, heck you will rarely have the Family one so the herpas are nice and I am still keeping my friends one and I ordered the Dream story but I will have the entire BB collection.

One more thing, I also will buy the TOMY ones, I like how these babys look on the 1:400 scale (but I don't like the OTHER babys on the 1:500, you know what I'm talking about Herpa!!)

Absolutely, the colors on the Herpa one are much better. But hey, if the producer of BB was a friend of mine, I would defend his product aswell.

i hope such print error incident (tragedy for me) WILL NOT happen again.

i sincerely wish BB can do their best on JA8912 and JA8905(i.e. the 4th and 5th JDE)!

I was looking at my JAL 'Blue', and I think the same quality of printing is on this one as well. It is just that know one has a Herpa 'Blue' to compare it to. Pinochio's face looks rather simple in the printing,same with his father, and the Dalmations, etc...

I believe that the making of the tamps where just not done in as much detail that they could have been.
It is possible that the factory did not think in such a small medium that anyone would notice.
Although the pictures that Suichai shows show truly a difference in quality of the two companies. Can this be noticed as easily with the human eye ?
If we had not ever seen a comparison, would we had thought that BB was not that good ? Because when I look at my Disney BB's I think they look awsome ! Until I see the comparison up close with a microlens. With the human eye though, I do not think it looks as bad. At least from 3ft. on my desktop. LOL

Well I immediately noticed pinoccio's face and other defects with my eye when I got my BB family.
