I've heard that "O" scale train accessories fit well with 1-500 model plane set-ups. Is that so, first? And if so, where can you buy accessories such as trees, billboards, etc. that look realistic.
Thanks, Gerry K

O Scale model trains are 1:43, they are double the size of HO and are often used in garden railways. The most suitable model railway scales for accessories like trees etc. would be N (1:160 or British N 1:148) and Z (1:220) but even these are more then double 1:500.
There many model railways shops around that would carry suitable accessories. The web, of course is a good place to search too. Only the larger shops will tend to stock some of the more obscure ranges like Z guage and the associated accessories. Also certain scales tend to be more popular in certain countries, so depending on where you are located may determine how much of the smaller scale material your local model shop stocks.
