My wife thought this hobby was pretty cool about 2 years ago. Now, she has 'no comment'.

I still have a good marriage though, whenever she says something negative towards my hobby I just 'beat her up'.

My girlfriend does not mind too much but gets a little annoyed when people coming to see our new house and spend more time looking at my aircraft collection then they do at the house!

She does not have any interest in it but has bought me presents of models for Christmas. Also since I use my parents address on my cards, any packages I order get delivered there (as there is always some one in) so she does not know how often I purchase new aircraft

As long as the girlfriend gets dinner and some time and money spent on her, she doesn't care. I'm just not about to let onto the difference between what I spend on her and my collection.

My first girlfriend this year (ewww let's not even discuss what she LOOKED like), whenever I told her about a new model I got or news about retiring an aircraft, she just rollld her eyes. I don't really think she was a good girlfriend. Fat, ugly, a teacher's pet, self absorbed, and she cried over getting a B in English when right now I'd be happy to get a C. What a loser.

Well My Wife is quite ok with it She doesnt stop me or pass any comments or views she says its your hobby you like it so do it where is the problem.

But yeah I am r hiding my collection from my Dad he will loose it if he sees it

My wife doesn't opposite a lot to my collection but she really annoys at the amount of time that I've spent online.

Ah yes, back to this thread again...heh heh. Thankfully my girlfriend doesn't mind my collection. I've gotten the occasional "you got more????" but it's few and far between! I just make sure she see's the special liveries since those dazzling colors seem to have a nice effect on her opinion about my collection! LOL Good to see that almost everyone here is able to collect without too much trouble.

Mohpu, I didn't realize you were married!!!

How old are you if you don't mind me asking? What are some of the other collectors ages that have posted on this thread? Just curious to see how diverse our little family here is.

My son and I have been collecting Herpa planes for two years now, well I have!!!!!!, I have just blamed my son for the last package from Raceland.de, which contained 11 mobels, two for my son and the rest for me. I think my wifeknows the true story!!!!!!
