any news yet about the SIA historical set?

this topic was mentioned on 25/02 already... but someone knows more about it?

Not so soon as SIA has said they would need at least 6 months to develop any inflight sales item. So the very earliest we would expect any news would be sometime in Aug-Sep 2002. Insider news has it that it would feautre some aircraft from the pre-SIA era i.e the Malaysian-Singaporen Airlines time but these are just rumours.

Tomorrow will be another new bi-monthly issue of KrisShop inflight magazine (May/June 2002) which could be on board for inflight sales, any one will fly SQ tomorrow and give us a response...?

Nope no news.... but there is the 1/400 SIA 777-200 in normal SQ colours.... quite a beauty. But again the wheels are unscaled/ not detailed.

Wow, I gonna love the long wait 777-200 regular scheme! How much to they sale on board in SIN$ & US$? Do they allow mail order as well? Is this model from Herpa or Dragon Wings?

Hi wingser,

It cost S$30, and it is available as part of their mail order for S$50. It is made from Herpa (what else?? ; SIA and Herpa are in good terms). It has silver cockpit frames and has the registration 9V-SQA. Quite good looking from the pictures. Haven't actually got the model at hand so can't judge it yet. Will keep you guys updated....

I'll just get the DW version. Hopefully a Herpa version will be right behind it also and have one in both scales...
