Dear atago.

As for me,it is not interested in soccer.
On TV, the game of soccer is not seen and doesn't know a rule, either.
Thank you, atago.

Can't stand these airlines for making these so called limited models. If I were them, I would makes the models non-limted so to gain publicity for the company.

Hi Shawn,
I don't want to start another arguement but if Starjets and BB are so much better than Herpies and according to you a far better investment. Then how come they are practically worthless when you want to sell one. No Starjet that I know of has fetched US$150.00 in a matter of days out of a run of 3,000. Even the Malaysians which were limited to 500 aren't worth that! Correct me if I am wrong but isn't every Starjet limited to a production run of 2,500 and most of the early ones are still available!!! Have a look on ebay at the moment, even the Singapore "Tropicals" are struggling. And that model to me is one of the best I have seen from any manufacturer and it was sold out over a year ago. Mind you I think my three Herpa JAL Dream Expresses, my two ANA Pokemons and the two Cathay Design Studies 747's are better. In case you think I hate Starjets you are wrong as I do have the two Malaysians, the two versions of the "Tropicals", the Millenium Dragon, the Air India 747, the JAL 727 inflight and the JAL DC-8 inflight, along with a few more. But a far better investment....NO WAY! Mind you I am not in it for an investment, I love collecting the models that I like.
Regards
John

HMMM? The first Disney models from Herpa have only be around for 6 months... And are worth a fortune to the collector who wants them.

John,

1st off, I was refering to the BigBird Disney releases as being the far better investment. 1. They will realistically never cost as much as the Herpa's have gone for, thus saving myself some cash. 2. When comparing the profile of the Boeing 747-200 to the StarJet and Herpa NG, you will notice that the Lufthansa or Pan Am 74 from StarJets has a truer look or profile that depics a Boeing aircraft. Herpa's NG 74-200 has elongated the hump way to much and the frontal area is not depicting the profile of a Boeing 74 correctly. I live here in the Seattle region, actually right next to the Boeing factory and have numerous friends that are employee's of Boeing, some even have stated(one being an engineer) that the StarJet mould is closer to rendering the famous Boeing profile of the 74 aircraft, while Herpa has some how missed the target even with their 'new' attempts.
Obviously, I could go on on how the StarJet has more printing details, color sateration, etc...etc... But, that would not 'win' this argument. What will, is that I wave a flag in peace and suggest that you enjoy purchasing what you want. I do believe though, that when it comes to Disney releases, BB will give us a slightly better sale price than what I have seen the Herpa Disneys going for, and last but not least, BB will release all of the Disney liveries. I will never have this option with Herpa, thus another reason for BB being the better investment for collectors.

One side thought though, I wanted to mention that Herpa has saturated and 'gained' many collectors around the earth especially the european region versus StarJets, I do believe though that is changing slowly due to joining with Schuco. StarJets is a much newer company, and can recall Herpa models 'sitting' around for along time right when Herpa came out in '93-'94.

Thumbs up

Hi Shawn,
I received my first Big Bird model on Saturday, an ANA "Pokemon" by mistake. I had ordered the JAL JDE "Blue" and got the "Pokemon" instead. What a fantastic model, I cannot wait until my two Ansett models arrive.
From all reports it sounds like the "Pokemon" and the Ansett models are Big Birds best.
Regards
John

John,
I was not going to purchase the Pokemon as well, until I saw it. WOW ! It looked so sharp, I said to myself that I would try to get all of the BB's. it is a unique livery to have.
