Red face

I'll pass on all but the JAL 'Sea' if they ever make it! I've been to Japan and saw them first hand many times but I was not willing to spend that much on them.

Hi a-tone,

Could you tell me where you bought it? Is it also 3,000 limited version? Thanks.

Unhappy SHOPS is Japan

Hi Cherry and all

I bought it at JAL's shop in Osaka.
It is 3,000 limited model. I saw many stocks
of JDE #6 (even #1 in Tokyo), but the shop master
said that some people ordered many many pieces,
10-20 and over (even 100pieces!!).
It will be sold out soon like the BB models in HK.
So the JAL's shop sell it piece by piece.

In Tokyo JAL's shop in the airport (HND,NRT) sell it.
Other model shops can't sell it bylicence.

Can you imagine the surprise when these models are released from BB and people will be stuck with these !! The value of these models would likely drop quite a bit, wouldn't you say ?

I feel sorry for them ! These are nice models, but the Herpa 74 compared to the StarJet and BigBird looks elongated and the hump a little low.

To be quite honest, I feel the StarJet and BigBird are closer to looking like the real thing then what Herpa has accomplished.
And 'IF' BB comes out with these guys, I think they will be a much better investment.
They are SO much nicer.
And 'IF' they come out with them they will come out with all 6. NO collector EVER will be able to collect all 6 in the Herpa mould.

Disney is nortorious in going after trademark violators. If BB ever attempts to make the Dream Express series, they might be taking on to a big gamble. Personally, I think its a beautiful series the price will not be this high if Disney did not charge a certain percentage of retail price for each comic figure which appears on the aircraft. Best of luck on getting the complete series. And what a shame, #4 & #5 should have been released as well. This will make the entire series complete.

Thanks, a-tone. Are you from Japan?
Did you see JDE #1 in Japan, too? I have JDE #2, and I think I have no way to get JDE #3...

Shawn,

Are you advising us not to rush for the JDE#6 now?

Well,
That all depends on where you put the quality of Herpa versus BB.

Atone's info is Correct.
I had confirmed about JAL Mail order shop.
They said JDE No.6 has sold out.

And many seller are selling No.6 models on Yahoo Japan.
Price is around 8500-12000JPY.

JDE#6

Hi, a-tone

JDE#6 is bought up for the purpose of speculation.
It can't take 10.000yen to Disney's model.

JDE,No Thanks!
