I changed my travel plans for the LAX show in next week: I will arrive there on Friday with LH 456 at 12:45. So I will have more time for spotting at LAX.
Is there anybody to join me ? The show will start on Saturday, 19.Jan. at 10:00 at the Hacienda Hotel with lots of wings in all scales and lots of airline stuff. The hotel has a free shuttle bus from LAX to the hotel. I will bring some interesting models with me: Herpa 1:200 Premium PanAm B 727, United B 727, Continental B 737, LH EXPO 2000 and Herpa 1:500 Interflug A 300, PanAm A 300 and many more. See you in LAX, Friedrich |

Hi Corbin,
I donīt have any JAL DreamExpress left. If the new EVA AIR models in 1:500 and 1:200 will arrive here on time, I will bring them with me to the show. The new Fraport and "FC Bayern München" will not be released until next week. The free shuttle bus starts infront of all terminals on the arrival level. In intervals this shuttle bus leaves from the hotel back to all terminals. See you soon, Friedrich |

I should be there. Still trying to work out the ride in getting there. I should be able to tell in about a week if I can go or not.

Where will you guys be hanging out at? I will try to join in.
You guys know where the China Eastern cargo parking lot is? (the one looking ahead to RWY 25). That'd would be a cool place to meet especially if anyone is driving. |

Hi Netcrawer,
I will not have a car when I am in LAX. From Friday to Saturday I will stay in the Hacienda Hotel. I will return to the terminal with shuttle bus for some spotting. Is there anyone with car to go around ? Friedrich |

Hi,
I will also use the shuttle bus to and from the airport. I will arrive at Terminal 5 @ 9:24 a.m., then I am going to take the bus to the hotel and stay there for a couple of hours. I would like to go spotting, but I don't know how the situation is at LAX (security). I will fly back the same day at 5:00 p.m. I probably have to be at the gate about 20-30 min. before departure. I don't think I have to check in, since I don't have any suitcases with me. We could meet at the Hotel, and then take the bus to one of the terminals. I've never been to LAX, so I don't know if you can walk to the runway????? Or, we could take the bus to the long term parking lot and walk over to the runway. I don't know if it will work, I justed looked at the airport maps (http://www.lawa.org/lax/laxframe.html) Should be a fun day! See you then,

Hi Waffle,
Donīt miss the show in LAX. Why not go to the show first (I was wrong: it opens to the public at 9:00, not at 10:00) and then head for San Diego. Friedrich |

I'm going to try she said that her friend had something come up so now it looks like I'll end up at the show. I feel like a soap opra here.

I'm gonna try to make it out there, but I don't know what time. I'd like to spot a little bit, I haven't been since August. Has anybody spotted there? How's security? Can you still take pictures from spots like the Proud Bird and Imperial Hill? I heard some people were getting trouble for being at In-N-Out. Just want to make sure it's OK before I plan to go. It's a lot easier, now that I have my license, so I'm excited to be able to go around with more freedom. Hoping to pick up some menus and other things at the show, maybe some Herpas too. See you all there...

Hi. I've heard alot of people have spotted there. I think as long as you buy something from In and Out you should have no problem spotting there. The Proud Bird should be no problem either.

Where is parking for the show? I thought I remember one lot accross the street, and one maybe behind the hotel. Is this correct? Forgot to ask in my first post...I also remember that there were very few spots, is this the case?

Hi Chad,
just across the street you find a parking lot of a supermarket (Ralphs ?). Right side beside the hotel there is the hotel parking lot. Thatīs what I remember from last year. If you go around by car I would like to join in for some plane spotting. Friedrich |
