It would be great if we could all meet together at the same place and time!
Should we all meet at the hotel? Around 10:30-11:00???? Or, we could meet at Friedrich's table????

Hi all,
if you want to meet at my table, please look in the main hall. I asked Phil Martin to reserve a wall table in the main hall (not confirmed). Have a look for my "FRAPORT" cap. Or look for the Herpa Premiums, Christmas Edition 2001. This will be my table. See you soon, Friedrich (If someone is around there on Friday, please call me in the Hacienda Hotel) |

Back to Germany I am so happy to get so many pictures from spotting at LAX. Thanks to my friends for taking me to this great locations for spotting like the "IN & OUT" burger and the cargo center at Imperial Highway.
The show was much smaller than a year before. The 1:500 scale was going down, the 1:400 scale is still rising. Good to meet some collector friends form the 1:500 scene. Thanks to StarJets 400 I got my SJ JAL onboard sales B 747-400 and B 777. Hope to see you again in 2003, Friedrich |

It was good to meet you again. Yes, I spoke to some of the people there, and they said that the waiting list for a second room filled up too late, and by that time the room was taken. But, they said that they thought people would sign up much earlier for the next show, which is nice. I think there was still a good turn out of people, at least the one room was more crowded, and there was still a nice collection of things (despite the lack of models, especially 1:500). I beleive the store you were referring to was "Skyjets 400". It's a local store near my house. With models so hard to find in LA, it's amazing and nice to have a whole store for them right by my house. It's mostly 1:400, but still a number of 1:500 models, and depending on who's there when you're in, some really nice people (well, there all nice, but some are much more knowledgable than others). Being far from the airport (if you're only staying in that area), I can't say if it's worth the trip, but you might want to look into visiting them next time. Sorry I didn't get to go to In-N-Out when any of you were there, but I still met a cool guy there. Mmm...just had it last night. In-N-Out is life here in LA. Well, I gotta run, but again, it was nice meeting you at the show again. Later... |
