I don't do customs myself. I hope the price is attractive for custom makers to buy raw models from you, paint them and sell the finished model at an attractive price. It suppose it could work... anyone take orders?

I think if people have the intention of painting them to sell then it would make sense to order in bulk of 10 or so at a time and we can offer them at a reduced rate for that quantity.

Re: 3D Printing

Even though it's 1:500 I'd defiantly buy some GSE for my 1:400 regional models.

Belt loader, Pushback tractor, luggage carts, gas trucks, laboratory trucks, generator carts.

We are building some BMW X5 for 1/500 to show what level of detail we can achieve and then once built we can look at these other parts. We will build for 1/500 but its no problem to then scale them up to the 1/400 scale. If you have a particular model you want we can do that too, just upload some images or a model reference and we can do some image finding online.

Re: 3D Printing

The prices for the Saab are good for me. I'd certainly buy a couple if I could get them painted.

Re: 3D Printing

I'm trying to find pictures of my local airports's GSE as that is the airport I am re-modeling. I would need 15 tugs. 1 per gate plus 1 for cargo.

Also, if you don't care to size up models to 1:500, I'd love to have some Cessna 172s, SR-22, Some small business jets, along with EMB-170s.

Re: 3D Printing

I think the prices are reasonable, but you forgot the postage rates for UK buyers.

At the moment we can't provide painted models but the models are paintable materials.

HI,
The UK falls under this postage rate:

All other EU countries, Switzerland, Norway, San Marino, Vatican, Andorra, Liechtenstein
$9.50

Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Apologies but I'm still confused as yesterday you confirmed that you were based in Bristol and yet UK postal charges are more than shipping to the US, amongst others?

The printing company I have gotten the prices from is international with printing houses in the us and Holland so they quote cheaper for the countries where there machines are based. They are the cheapest printing company in the world at present. Also bare in mind the postage is the same if you order 1 model or 1000.

Would you like some quotes for UK printing houses such as PD Models who are truly excellent company to work with. We do a significant amount of business with them. For 1 off models they are about 2-3 times more expensive than the big internationals (they are a much smaller company) but on large orders they are very competitive and often times come out 10-20% less than shapeways. Postage would be standard recorded UK delivery. I can all them for a quote for a single model with UK postage and 20 models with UK postage just so you can see ok?

Re: 3D Printing

Looks nice!!!
But I still think that focusing in proper GSE + General Aviation + Bizjets would make rivers of money.
