Oh it's not so cold here surprisingly and we get quite the amount of sun. Though it's not 18 degrees, it's not that bad.. Especially compared to the USA. I look forward to the match and seeing your arrivals

Thom, we in Mumbai are not used to this weather but, yeah, I'm fortunate I'm not in Canada right now as it is below freezing!!! have to go there in March/April (yeah, you guessed it, I'm flying BA B744s) hope it improves by then!!! I'm listening to the music of a Dutch legend...Armin van Buuren with one of my KLM B744s PH-BFS in front of me!!! can't wait for your wonderful airport to see more arrivals and departures!!!

That's a coincidence Homzie, I'm listening to Armin van Buuren too momentarely as I'm typing this reply. Although I don't have a KLM model in front of me, instead a physics book and the SLM A340-300! (Close... ). I have never been to Mumbai so I can't say anything about what's usual for you. But here it's okayish. You and your BA 747's, even if there was a link between Mumbai and Canada, you'd still fly the B747's of BA right? The inaugural flight of my airport will be monday!

Re: Homzie's 1:500 Speedbirds and more...

normal for Mumbai at this time of the year is around 23 but this 'winter' (if you can call it) has been unusually cold and chilly (for Mumbai)...yeah, me and my BA B744s (LOL!!!)...yeah, I'm flying BA B744 on BA138 BOM-LHR and BA085 LHR-YVR (both B744s)......can't wait for your inaugural flight of your airport...got to be a KLM B744 Thom!!! that would be an appropriate first flight!!!

Hmm.. Doesn't sound so bad if you compare it with our summers, 23 is the average.. That's why I flee the country 6 weeks to Spain every summer . Lot of B747s! If I needed to go to Canada any time soon, I'd just fly AMS-YUL on the mighty tri-holer, whenever possible. The inaugural will be a B777-200ER to Cal's Dubai airport as an 'example' that good friendships can exist even when one collects 1:500 and the other 1:400. The B747 won't be forgotten mate; my goal is to be able to fill the whole F pier with KLM B747's; 8 in total!

it is only apt that the first flight will be a KLM...to Cal's Dubai....fantastic!!! why don't you pilot it and keep it there and take an Emirates B777 with Cal to Mumbai? Alessandro is free to join if he wants to!!!
