Re: Herpa breaking news.

Thanks for the report Michael. I am particularly impressed by the An-22, even if a prototype it looks really gorgeous.
About the stairs i am happy Herpa finally restarted to produce new GSE, we need of them for our airports.
The new A320 family mould: nothing to say, just wait for some complete models to check how the mould is, especially the nose section. I don't care of rolling gears, i like Sky500 A320 models and if Herpa decides to follow the same route i am happy the same, the important thing is the nose section/cockpit windows as much similar to 1:1 airplane as possible. Tell me crazy but i prefer Sky500 A320 landing gears (even if bigger than normal) respect the shameful Herpa's plastic pylons. Until now i wasn't complaining for Herpa A320/321 models (while the A319 is absolutely awful) but now they devided to develop a new mould i hope they will make the same efforts of the new B737-800 mould, reaching something very close to perfection.

According to Mr Külgen, the CSeries "is also coming in the other scales later this year". So it shouldn't be long until we see it in 1/500

Re: Herpa breaking news.

That is very good news - I can hardly wait for the Swiss CS100 - and the CS300 will hopefully follow suit.

Re: Herpa breaking news.

They all look beautiful

That OpenSkies 757... I think a tear is rolling down my face... what a beautiful mould, finally decent 757s are back

I like the China Southern B737-800: The wings have those "frames" printed over them, it's nice. Finally Herpa did this printing.

Re: Herpa breaking news.

Some great looking models! I'm particularly relieved to find that the A318 Avianca cockpit windows have been corrected. The Open Skies 75W and China Southern 73H are further highlights.

Re: Herpa breaking news.

Just sent Mr. Stephan this email, talking about the ATR:

Quote:
Mr. Külgen,
Thank you so much for your reply!
I'll look forward to see the improvements on the A320 family mould.
I'm that, if these two flaws get corrected, the model will be amazing!

I have now another suggestion:
I've seen a picture of a sample of the ATR 72 of TAP Express.
The cockpit windows and landing gears are totally oversized.
I know it's just a sample and that maybe the production version will be corrected, but I still wanted to email you about this.

I've attached a picture of the sample and an enhancement I did on Photoshop.
Cockpit windows and gears were reduced. I think this size is perfect.
I hope this helps!

Hope to hear soon from you!
Best regards
Leonardo
i'm waiting for his reply.

here's the image i've attached. I'm having some fun in Photoshop lately

Your enhanced Version is indeed much better that this sample. It's also nice that you've sent him this. Maybe they gonna bring the mould back under a complete new investigation. So let's see what Mr. Külgen's reply will be...

The engine is wrong though, the real ones don't have those kinds of circle-y rings.

Thank you for the pictures, some nice releases there... waiting for this is torture. Alitalia's 777 is a marvel (as the Open Skies 757 and the Asiana A350) but I am annoyed they still didn't manage to make a taller front gear and to make the engines pylons beautiful as they really are...

Oh yes, I would also prefer without them. It seems Herpa attempted to reproduce the engine cowling lines, but they're definitely not deep like that. But anyway, they don't bother me

Re: Herpa breaking news.

Ciao to all.
I directly wrote to Mr. Kuelgen asking for my most wanted model (along with Novair A321), the Thomson B757-200WL and for more Italian airlines and models and this is the answer, a very interesting answer opening a new scenario in my collection (and, i hope, in the collections of many other friends and fellow members):

As for Thomson, the structure inside the TUI Group involved two steps.
Licensing goes through the TUI Group headquarters in Germany. But: they
again ask each of their airline subsidiaries individually, if they will
give us permission to produce models with their respective names (TUIfly,
Arke, Jetairfly, Thomson, etc.). So far, Thomson, has not given us
permission to produce models of their branch. Therefore, due to the
rebranding of most of the fleet to simply "TUI Airlines", we
might be producing a 757 in the future, but it would show the latest
"TUI" titles, and not "Thomson".

As for other Italian carriers besides Alitalia, correspondence is not as
stable as we would hope. But I do think that we can get one, maybe two
models from these other Italian carriers still produced in 2017...

Very nice! Hope to see some Italian widebody metal for my airport too...
Meridiana, Neos or Blue Panorama 767s would be extremely welcome
