Re: A thread for samples owners.

Does anybody have the Aerligus.com B737-500? That was produced by Herpa as a sample. Very pretty aircraft!

Re: A thread for samples owners.

I am lucky enough to have acquired a few Herpa samples in addition to some 1:400 and 1:48 scale sample models.

This is the Herpa Ansett Australia B 767-277 (ID#690). Released in November 1993, the sample model sits with the nose slightly up, unlike the production model released the following year.

Hi friend, great models also if the molds are orrible. I remember the Ansett B767-200: when i started collecting, in 1996, it was already a kind of "legend", and i was waiting to buy the regular model from my shop in Rome. Then i knew it was sold out, and i was very sad. I have seen this model last year, in October, at DUS Boerse: price = 170 euro. It is a real pity for the orrible nose, nothing similar to a B767...

Ah, Charter - don't even go near what the cost for these old and "orrible" samples is. They were sold as a set. The other 2 are the B727 and A320.

May i ask you the price for the set?

At least the OG mould of the 727 is not so ''orrible'' (lol) like the others!!!!

Sorry, it was sold under confidentiality but any number you guess, probably add some zeros!

I really do miss Ansett - it was a great airline. Coincidentally, I picked up an Ansett Sydney Olympics sample in 1:400 scale too. It's a "one-of-a-kind" as only the single sample was made and it did not go into production. I have 2 such DragonWings models and count myself very lucky indeed!

Re: A thread for samples owners.

Why has Herpa made so many and then never released them? This beautiful United, several US Airways, all would have been in my collection!

Re: A thread for samples owners.

Yeah! Sample models sometimes would be sooo great releases.
For example, the FedEx ATR-72 by Herpa. I wish this one was released SO BAD.
I would buy ASAP!
