This is, hands down, the best release of the set and the only model I am looking forward to for November/December. Herpa started off so good this year with the classic aircraft, but the trend petered down to this. I'll take it nonetheless.

...in 1/400 scale!!! 1/500 is too small. Also that would have to be on a 1-11 500 mould but Herpas is a short-fuselaged -400 Series

The BAC-111 on 1:500 may be little but the one released by InFligth years ago (Dan Air) is magnificent. Herpa has a 500 mould: the announced BCal 111 is a 500.

It's possible to make BAC 1-11 in many liveries from 1960's years, like British United/BUA, etc.
