I was considering Aeroflot and their models produced by Herpa: what a pity the glittered livery and i still don't understand why Herpa has to glitter a livery completely grey! The same for Alitalia.

Funny how Herpa noticed the mistake on the LH Retro 747-8 and American Airlines models. They corrected these models... but now they make the same mistake for the Aeroflot 737 and Alitalia models.

Ale, do you have the Clickair A320 for comparison? I'm sure the siver was much better.

Did you address your complaints to herpa (and received a »we will take a look at this« answer)? herpa might be thinking that their glittery Aeroflot models sold reasonable well in the past and that a colour-correction could devalue all of their previous »current colours« Aeroflot collector items. The new Alitalia colours are very tricky and IMHO herpa fortunately did a reasonable job on the A332.

They noticed (or were made aware of) the faulty LH Retro 747-8 grey because the colour-mistake was here most evident. I don’t know what you mean with »corrected« American Airlines models. Their silvery grey is not as bad as the glittery Aeroflot grey but they clearly failed on the light (and not at all silvery) grey of the heritage 73H’s.

The livery on my AA 737 seems to be more glittery than the AA 767...
and also, the 767 have a slightly darker color...

I agree about the Heritage Colors failure though! Way too dark!

I understand your point but these models should be perfect reproductions of the real airplanes and the real Aeroflot liver is without glitters. So, technically speaking, this livery is a bit wrong.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your words but, that's setting the bar a bit high there in my opinion. Keep in mind, these are 1/500 scale diecast metal and plastic models meant for the general public and not 1/144 or larger museum show pieces. Things aren't going to be perfect, allow a little wiggle room.

I'm not saying don't seek high quality with everything in the right place but come on, seeking perfection from these models is a bit much.

You're right about 1:500 scale; what i am saying is that in my opinion is more logical and easier realize a simple non-glittered grey livery than a glittered one even because the glitters make it wrong.

I received the two club models, AeroSur B737-200 "Bufeo" and Air France CV-990: the B737-200 is a masterpiece while the CV-990 is a quite nice model and the Air France written is present in both sides of the fuselage.

This is EL Bufeo, a Pink Dolphin living in the Amazon.

This is Herpa model:

As we can see from the photos of the real model and of the Herpa 1:500 model, the livery seems wrong, too much blue instead of pink. Honestly speaking i really don't see the pink in this model but something like purple and even the green of the tail is too light.
What a pity!

What bothers me most about the Aerosur is the lack of wheel hubs.. What a wonderful airline that was..

Bufeu - Wondering, could it be "just" part of production being with totally incorrect colours as yours? Did you contact Herpa? Because sure, if all like yours ... what a pity. After all, who wants a model as far from reality as this one!
